Merlot
wine a classic ruby-deep-red wine with low acidity very used in French wines
and in Italian wines.
The Uruguayan Merlot red wines are very popular and they come from blue-black
ripe Merlot grapes carefully attended by the winemaker to give the best red
wine possible. |
The
Merlot wine has an intense and complex smell with fruit and spiced
characters, excellent body, very refreshing with an interesting tannin taste,
beefy and well balanced.
It can be found 100% Merlot varietals and often it is possible to find in
blends with Tannat or
Cabernet Sauvignon.
This type of wine goes very well with stewed beef and pastas.
How to serve Merlot wines? An ideal temperature for consumption is 18º
to 20ºC (64° to 68°F). |
