The Uruguayan live cattle in his different variants like steers, heifers,
calfs, cows, bulls; has worldwide recognition. The meat breeds available
in our country for export are Hereford, Aberdeen Angus, Brangus, Charolais,
Nelore, Limousin, Shorton; purebred or crossbreed. The dairy breed:
Holando. |
All
the live cattle are free of BSE (mad cow), free of Foot and Mouth disease,
free of hormones and free of all type of diseases. Our live cattle are
considered by quality and health as one of the best of the world. |
 Meuco

customers are requiring. In close cooperation with the buyers selection
committee, if necessary, our company will select the animals to the
customers specifications. Selection will take place at the farm of origin
or in the quarantine stables.

the feeding is done by means of fresh pastures. Almost all the cattle is
grassfed not feedlot, with the cows in its natural environment. So, the
Uruguayan beef meat is raised in a nature free environment maintaining the
fresh flavour of the natural pastures. They count for their quality,
tenderness and flavour with the consideration of the most exigent markets
of the world. Our Country counts with all the informations ancestry,
qualification and production of the animals that are recorded. The
traceability for each animal is done by micro-chips. |

We have years of experience in exportation of live high-yielding pedigree
cattle, advice sanitary tests for the necessary International Sanitary
Health Certificates, documents elaboration handling and shipping
worldwide.

Almost
all of the Uruguayan dairy cattle are worked with artificial
insemination, using imported semen from enhanced American bulls. Our country Uruguay possesses a well
differentiated climate, exists 4 stations in the year: summer,
autumn, winter and spring, being highlighted as harder the
winter climate, with temperatures that descend low zero, and
intensive rains that make difficult the managing of the cattle. |
This period understood is among the months of May until August.
Also, the cows suffer the high temperatures that are produced in
the months of December, January, and February surpassing in some
instances 35 degrees. With this, remains demonstrated the easy
adjustment of the cattle to the extreme variations of the
climate. |
